Global Stewardship
Our commitment to sustainability is a core part of our mission to serve and protect the global community.
As a worldwide logistics provider, we believe that fostering a connected, global marketplace drives positive change and cooperation across borders. However, we are acutely aware of the environmental challenges that come with increased trade, and we see it as our duty to minimize this impact wherever possible. From implementing energy-efficient practices and reducing waste in our operations to prioritizing greener transport options and partnering with eco-conscious carriers, we are dedicated to driving sustainable change in logistics. Our promise is to continually seek out ways to protect the environment and ensure that global trade remains a force for good—for both people and the planet.
Powered by the sun
When we committed to reducing our emissions, we started right at our global headquarters near JFK. Our location, away from towering skyscrapers, made us an ideal candidate for solar energy. Now, we generate enough solar power to meet our daily needs, and on clear days, we even produce a surplus that flows back into the Con Edison grid, supporting our community’s energy needs.
That means every email, bill of lading, air waybill, and customs entry we process is powered by the cleanest, most abundant energy source—our sun!
Paperless and efficient
We’re proud of the automation and transparency our digital platforms offer our clients, but what excites us most is our shift to a fully paperless environment. Our teams operate exclusively with digital files stored on secure servers, allowing seamless collaboration across global offices while helping us reduce paper use and support reforestation efforts. Additionally, we’ve eliminated single-use plates and cups in favor of reusable alternatives, minimizing our environmental footprint in daily operations. Each year, we deepen our commitment to conservation by donating a portion of our profits to the National Forest Foundation, helping preserve and expand forested areas for future generations.
