Case Study: Halston House
Handling a single art piece is no small feat, but how do you safely transfer an entire legendary collection built over a lifetime? Compass Forwarding was honored to take on this challenge when entrusted with the transport of the late Gunter Sachs’ renowned personal art collection. Following the sale of Sachs' iconic Manhattan residence, the famed Halston House—infamous for hosting legendary parties in the 1970s—Compass was responsible for the meticulous process of cataloging, crating, and moving hundreds of treasured artworks. The collection included original masterpieces by Andy Warhol, Yves Klein, Roy Lichtenstein, and other modern art luminaries.
